    Thetelephonenumbersthatbeganwith32wereHedestadnumbersinthesixties.Theonebeginningwith30wasaNorrbynnumber,notfarfromHedestad.TheproblemwasthatwhenMorellcontactedeveryoneofHarriet’sfriendsandacquaintances,no-onehadanyideawhosenumberstheywere.

    Thefirstnumberbelongingto“Magda”initiallyseemedpromising.ItledtoahaberdasheryatParkgatan12.ThetelephonewasinthenameofoneMargotLundmark,whosemother’snamewasactuallyMagda;shesometimeshelpedoutinthestore.ButMagdawassixty-nineyearsoldandhadnoideawhoHarrietVangerwas.NorwasthereanyevidencethatHarriethadevervisitedtheshoporboughtanythingthere.Shewasn’tinterestedinsewing.
